Microboost

Microneedling is the hero of the skin care world with its incredible regenerative and healing benefits. Microneedling kick starts your Fibroblast cells into action by controlled micro wounding to produce collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, which result in skin repair and antiaging. We stop producing Elastin at the age of 25 and Collagen at 35 (although it’s production slows form 21), so it is important to repeat the treatment regularly and make it a part of your ongoing lifestyle. When administered correctly microneedling benefits are truly remarkable. Microneedling is used to treat;
-
Fine lines, wrinkles and skin sagging
-
Enlarged pores/ excessive oil production
-
Acne grades 1 & 2
-
Scars
-
Pigmentation
-
Stretch marks
-
Uneven skin tone
-
Collagen loss
Is Microneedling painful?
Skin boosters can be administered by either microneedling or by injection. In terms of which treatment is most comfortable in my opinion microneedling is both the most comfortable and quickest modality of administration, so perfect for those who do not like needles.
The microneedling device has a cartridge containing multiple very fine needles that oscillate rapidly whilst gliding over the skin surface. Although this can be a little uncomfortable at times (the forehead area can be tender as this is where the skin is at it’s thinnest), it is not painful. The device has multiple options for needle depths, that can be turned up or down depending on your tolerance.
You will be in control of the depth at all times. The treatment does not take long to complete and once over a cooling mask is applied and you have the option of including the Dermalux MD light therapy into your treatment which expedites healing and reduces redness by at least 50% immediately.
Should I choose Sosum Soft Exosomes Stem Cell Therapy or Polynucleotides Skin Booster?
I have added lots of information below in regards to the differences between the three skin boosters, but as a whole they all work very similarly in different ways. Although I do not recommend they are combined in the same treatment they can certainly be alternated to get the overall benefits of all three, but to sum up;
-
Sosum Hyaluronic Acid (Plumping and extreme Hydration)
-
Vitaran Polynucleotides (Damage repair, Glow enhancing and antiaging)
-
Dermaceuticals Exosome Stem Cell Therapy (Anti-inflammatory and Skin Healing)
*Please read below for an in depth explanation of which each skin booster achieves.
SOSUM SOFT - What is Sosum Soft?
Get incredible instantaneous results from this next generation skin booster. Discover a new breed of hydro-lifting skin products. Sosum Soft is a hydro-lifting skin enhancer that blends the perfect mixture of Hyaluronic Acid content with the latest cross-linking technology to achieve the best skin enhancing results on the market.
Each application of Sosum Soft encourages new cell formation and increases the skins’ ability to absorb water and nutrients. The target areas become smooth, plumped, hydrated and supple, often with immediate visible results.
Where can Sosum Soft be used?
Sosum Soft can be used all over the face, neck, chest, specific body areas and back of the hands. This product excels in reducing fine lines and wrinkles, increasing skin elasticity and improving moisture retention.
How many treatments will I need?
Improvements are often visible from the first session, but we do advise at least two treatments 4 weeks apart for optimum results and then treatments can be repeated every 3-6 months depending on your skins needs.
Is Sosum Soft a Dermal Filler?
No Sosum soft is a non crossed link skin booster and not a dermal filler. It will not alter the shape of your face, but instead spreads around the injected area up to 5cm and absorbs a thousand times its weight in water plumping and hydrating the skin.
What is the difference between Sosum Soft and Profhilo?
Like Profhilo, Sosum Soft is a hydro-lifting skin enhancer that blends the perfect mixture of Hyaluronic Acid15mg/ml (1.5%) content with the latest cross-linking technology Particle size average < 100㎛ to achieve the best skin enhancing results on the market. It is biocompatible with the Hyaluronic Acid our own body produces.
The main difference between the two products is the overall cost (Profhilo is more expensive), Delivery method (Profhilo can only injected using the BAP method in the lower half of the face) and the amount of product per syringe (Profhilo is 2ml and Sosum is 3ml)
How soon will I see results?
Depending on the application method used to administer the product the results can be instantaneous, particularly when the Microneedling method is used.
How long does the treatment last?
The skin hydration effect should last around 3 to 6 months, but outside factors such as lifestyle choices, sun exposure and the bodies metabolism process may mean it lasts less time.
Is Sosum a good treatment for dry skin?
Yes, Sosum is a non cross linked hyaluronic acid that holds a thousand times its weight in water, thus creating intense hydration for the skin from an epidermal/dermal level.
How often can I have a Sosum treatment?
The recommendation is to have two treatments 4 weeks apart, but some clients are so happy with their initial results that they do not feel it necessary for a second treatment. It is recommended to repeat the process every 6 months, but you can repeat it sooner if you feel it necessary.
Can I have Sosum if I have recently had Dermal Fillers or Anti Wrinkle injections?
Yes, but you will need to wait the recommended amount of time by your administering practitioner before proceeding with treatment.
Which areas of the face and body can Sosum be used to treat?
Sosum Soft can be used all over the face, neck, chest, specific body areas and back of the hands. This product excels in reducing fine lines and wrinkles, increasing skin elasticity and improving moisture retention.
POLYNUCLEOTIDES - What are Polynucleotides?
Polynucleotides in the simplest of terms are injectable, sterile and highly purified products, derived from fish DNA, typically salmon. Polynucleotides are then incorporated into a polymerised injectable gel, which once injected binds with water molecules to make skin tissue firmer and more hydrated. Polynucleotides are considered to be “biostimulators” because the polynucleotide chain has an anti-free radical action and serves as a scavenger of hydroxyl radicals, which accumulate due to stress and UV radiation (sun damage). The hydration and anti-free radical properties of polynucleotides help to create the optimal environment for fibroblast growth, responsible for generating collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, essential for resilient skin.
How affective are they?
With over 41 years of scientific research and development, 36 years of medical application, 1.8 million uses and no adverse or allergic reactions. With over 90 clinical trials and a proven track record in tissue and cartilage regenerative medicine, the evidence for the power of polynucleotides is undisputed in the medical and aesthetic fields. Once filtered and ultra-purified, natural DNA fractions initiate your bodies natural Fibroblast production, resulting in increased collagen (average 47% in 23 days) and a thicker, healthier Epidermis layer of the skin (average 52% in 23 days). Polynucleotides are considered the gold standard in achieving true skin regeneration and incredible, visible results.
How do polynucleotides differ to injectable skin boosters, like Profhilo?
Polynucleotides and injectable skin boosters have similar effects, but rather than merely hydrating, like hyaluronic acid skin boosters such as Profhilo, Polynucleotides go a step further by activating fibroblast cells within the skin. polynucleotides actively signal cells to produce collagen and elastin.
Polynucleotides offer benefits surpassing traditional skin boosters, unlocking your skin’s natural regenerative potential. While skin boosters provide immediate results such as plumping and hydration. Polynucleotides address areas where many skin boosters cannot, such as the eyes, lips, and forehead.
Polynucleotides can be effectively combined with Hyaluronic acid skin booster treatments (such as, Profilo and Seventy Hyal) to achieve even greater results as the combined treatments will work in synergy with each other.
How many treatments will I need?
Whilst there is benefit to having even just one treatment, it is recommended that a course of 3 be administered spaced at least 3 weeks apart
What areas can Polynucleotides treat?
Polynucleotieds can be used to treat almost all areas of the face and body (body within reason). Making them incredibly versatile
When will I see results?
Patients will begin to notice results quite soon after the initial session, but the second session jumpstarts the remodelling process. The product continues its effects for the first 12 weeks, progressively improving over time. However, patients will experience an early improvement and lift after the first session.
How long do the results last?
Typically, the effects of polynucleotide treatments last for approximately six months before requiring a maintenance session. Polynucleotides differ from other Hyaluronic-based skin boosters and dermal fillers as rather than giving skin a surge in collagen and elastin, Polynucleotides are the catalysts in the regeneration of Fibroblasts – the main cells within the skins structure. The product itself is absorbed by the body fairly rapidly, having activated new cell production. Of course we continue to age, but the clock has quite literally been turned back in the treated areas.
EXOSOMES Stem Cell Therapy - What are Exosomes?
Exosomes are particles that are naturally released from cells, especially from stem cells. They carry genetic information, proteins, multiple growth factors and messenger RNA. Exosomes are responsible for cell-to-cell communication as messenger cells and have the ability to activate your own cells to function as actively and efficiently as young people’s cells. Exosomes have potent Repair & Regenerative functions of Stem Cells.
What’s the difference between stem cells and Exosomes?
Exosomes contain a lot of the same important functions of stem cells, but they are different. The use of stem cells became popular in the early 2000s. Over time, it became clear that adult stem cells rarely facilitate new tissue growth. However, they can be highly beneficial for cell signalling. The cells that will heal the body are thought to already be there, but they need the proper signals. Science is now showing us that Exosomes are an effective way for stem cells to deliver these signals.
“Exosomes is Scientifically proven regenerative, anti-inflammatory and immune-modulatory properties and it is 1000 times more potent than PRP (Platelet a rich Plasma)”
What are the benefits of Exosomes for the skin?
