Contraindications

The treatment cannot be performed on clients who:

• Have a positive reaction to a patch test for to any of the products applied  

• Chemotherapy (current cancer treatment) 

• Skin Disease, skin trauma, cuts, abrasions, burns, dermatitis , psoriasis, eczema and swelling in the immediate area

• Sunburn or use of sunbeds in 48 hours 

• Eye infections such as conjunctivitis

• Recent operations around eyes, head or face in immediate areas

• Recent brow tattoo/ micro blading follow their protocol 

• Wrinkle relaxing injections and dermal fillers wait 2 weeks 

• Previous reactions to Dye/wax treatments anywhere on the body 

• Currently using Roaccuataine, doxycycline and epiduogel

• Alopecia or Trichotillomania

• Steroid or cortisone creams used in the area 

• Allergies to any of the products or history of anaphylaxis

Possible Complications & Adverse Reactions

When performed by a trained, HD Brows qualified professional, Brow Lamination is safe. Potential reactions include:

Common and temporary:

• Mild redness or sensitivity around the brow area

• Slight tenderness immediately post-treatment

Less common:

• Minor irritation from waxing or tinting

• Rare allergic reaction to any of the products used

• Skin grazing due to waxing 

Strict technique and adherence to pre- and post-care instructions minimise all risks.

Aftercare & Recovery

• Avoid excess rubbing or touching of the treated area for 24 hours

• Avoid sunbathing, sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms, swimming and jacuzzis for 48 hours or heavy sweating for 24 hours

• Avoid exfoliating, retinol/ steroid creams around the brow area for 3 days

• Avoid tweezing in between treatments if advised.

• Avoid fake tanning face products for 2-3 days after treatment

• Post wax redness should settle within a 24 hour period. Sudocrem can be applied to the skin area only (do not let it touch the brows). If grazing occurs this should settle in 2-5 days

Downtime is minimal, and most clients can return to normal activities immediately.
